Recognising the pivotal role of developers in shaping the future of shared living environments, the Coliving Developer of the Year award celebrates excellence in the conception, design, and implementation of innovative coliving spaces. From visionary architecture to sustainable construction practices, this award honours developers who redefine the boundaries of shared living, creating spaces that inspire, connect, and enrich the lives of their residents.

For whom?

This category is open to real estate developers and project development firms specialising in the creation of coliving spaces.

Criteria

  1. Realised Projects: Projects must have been completed and are currently in operation.
  2. Innovative Design & Construction: Demonstrates innovative approaches to design, construction, and technology integration in coliving developments.
  3. Sustainability: Incorporates sustainable building practices and environmentally friendly features into coliving projects.
  4. Community Integration: Designs spaces that foster community interaction, social engagement, and resident well-being, while also promoting integration within the neighbourhood and fostering connection to the local community.‍
  5. Impact & Vision: Exhibits a clear vision for the future of shared living and demonstrates a positive impact on the communities they serve.

Deliverables

Below we have summarised the deliverables for your application. Note that every category has its own application guide!

1. Presentation including:

  • Name
  • Organisation
  • Logo (if applicable)
  • Details about specific project / site / product in English
  • Responses to questions in the additional resources requested in the eligibility and evaluation criteria may include project portfolios, impact measures, sustainability metrics, community engagement data, innovation initiatives, etc., specific to real estate development projects within the coliving sector.
  • Presentation should be max 20 slides / pages and in PDF format (16:9 horizontal format). Please see the presentation template below for reference.

2. High level summary of your project submission in the Application portal and answer to all application questions.

3. Supporting images / renders (in high resolution JPG / PNG -> 150 dpi) in ZIP format** (max 10 images). Files to be named in the following format " organisation-projectname-image# “

4. Representative project image (max 10 MB) to be used as a thumbnail in the application portal and other relevant communication from Coliving Awards about your project

5. It should be clear that your project meets the criteria for this category
